Finally by Wendy Mass (a birthday post)

Hi everyone! My best friend had her birthday a couple of days ago. As a part of my present to her, I am writing a post for one of her favorite books, Finally. Finally is the sequel to 11 Birthdays, (you can click here for my 11 Birthdays post) and is the second book in the popular Willow Falls book series.

Finally is a book about a girl named Rory, who has been wanting to turn 12 for FOREVER! Rory has a whole list of things that her parents said she could do, have, or get when she turned 12 and she is really holding them to their promise.

When Rory finally does turn 12, things do not go as well as she had hoped...


It turns out, that staying at home alone is scary. That contact lenses aren't all they are cracked up to be. That bunnies aren't as innocent as they seem, and that a phone is a BIG responsibility. Plus, Rory can't help but feel like all of her bad luck has something to do with the old lady that pulled her out of a drainpipe at the reservoir. Yes. Rory got stuck in a drainpipe.

This book is extremely humorous, and Rory is such a fun character to read about. In a book where everything that can go wrong, does go wrong, you need strong comic relief! This book is a fun read for all kids. All you need is a sense of humor, and this book is for you!  It's not necessary for you to have read 11 Birthdays although it does take place in the same town, Willow Falls.
